Bachelor of Home Science

Home science was introduced at the degree level under the Gauhati University in 1966. The North Eastern Hill University upgraded it to the three year degree programme, i.e., Bachelor of Home Science in 1975.

Extension Education & Community Nutrition 2. Family Resource Management-II
  3. Food & Nutrition -I

Please Note

The following are the compulsory subjects:

  1. General English Paper I (For the first year students)
  2. Environmental studies (for the third year students)
  3. Value Education: Moral Ethics/Catechism/Scripture.
  4. Field trip.

Students admitted into the Home Science Stream are required to attend the Compulsory Certificate Course in Home Science.
